A Field Trip to Remember!

Ms. Davis and her 5th graders showing off their autographed souvenir basketball with Principal Brown.

Just a few weeks ago, some of our RBA 5th graders had an opportunity to attend an amazing field trip to the Quicken Loans Headquarters in downtown Detroit!  In addition to all the valuable learning that took place on the trip, Dan Gilbert himself, chairman and founder of Quicken Loans and owner of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers (among many other things), took time to hang out with our students, taking selfies, group photos, and even giving each child a Cleveland Cavaliers hat!  To top it off, 5th grade teacher Ms. Nicole Davis was gifted a souvenir basketball autographed by all the Cleveland Cavaliers players to keep on display in her classroom! WOW!!! Ms. Davis said the look on the children’s faces when given these gifts was priceless!  What an awesome experience for our RBA students! Field trips are just one of many ways Ronald Brown Academy teachers work tirelessly to provide our students with the highest quality educational experiences, both inside and outside the school building!
